Five members of the club met to explore some history in the Upstate of South Carolina. We had access to a very old workshop containing not only an auto repair center but a belt driven woodworking shop. A line shaft would have belts along its length to power saws, lathes and planners. Everything was covered with heavy dust. There were even journals recording events of the day. This place looked like it had not been used in 30 years.
We then photographed some of the disappearing barns in the area. One was leaning so badly that I doubt it will be standing a year from now.
