The Carolina Camera Club will be holding its next 2013 field trip on Saturday, May 11th at Big Creek in North Carolina.
This is yet another opportunity to get out and shoot with other club members.
Big Creek is a part of the Smoky Mountains just off of I40 on the North Carolina/Tennessee state line. It is a very photogenic stream running along an old forest road with easy access to the stream.
Let’s meet at 9 AM in the Big Creek parking lot. It should take less than 2 hours to get there from the Columbus entrance to Interstate 26.
Bring a lunch with you as we can easily spend the whole day there.
I also plan to bring a pair of hip boots so I can wade in the stream to get those “unique” shots.
Directions to Big Creek from Asheville: Take I40 to the NC/TN border. Take exit 451 and drive past the Waterville hydro-electric plant. Follow the brown park service signs past the intersection of Mt Sterling Gap and into the park. Drive to the end of the road to the parking lot.
There are restrooms at Big Creek.
Contact Chuck Bishop at (864) 313-9573 or email@example.com with your RSVP and any questions.
